Billing Analyst


  • Works efficiently to complete all partner billing each month and to effectively manage Work in Progress (WIP) to a minimum.
  • Prepares billing summary for each principal and seeks approval for monthly billing process.
  • Communicates effectively with team Partners to be sure that all billing is completed each month and to effectively manage regional WIP to a minimum.
  • Develop good working relationships with the internal personnel
  • Detail oriented, ability to self-review work
  • Able to ask questions and make decisions
  • Ability to work independently, while reporting to a supervisor in another location (if working remotely)
  • Ability to professionally and effectively handle communications with internal personnel via phone, email or in person
  • Develop and maintain the technology skills required to function at peak efficiency
  • Enter, transcribe, record, store, and/or maintain information in written or electronic form
  • Adheres to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client/firm confidentiality
  • Manage staffing allocation while working with the engagement teams to determine appropriate staffing and profitability
  • Maintain an understanding of tax terms and concepts to align with client bills
  • Act as the day-to-day contact for client service regarding general billing topics



  • Bachelor s Degree
  • Knowledge of typical office methods and procedures, filing, telephone techniques, and office equipment, as well as business English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation
  • Superior level of accuracy in work and attention to detail
  • Strong customer service skills are essential
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal skills


  • CPA desired but not required,
  • Tax preparation experience or experience billing at a professional services company
  • Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Proficient in PowerPoint
  • Excellent time management skills, including planning and prioritizing
  • Ability to multi-task, take direction, but also work independently
  • Ability to flourish in a progressive team environment in a growing department
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision


  • Our office hours are 8:00 a. m. to 5:00 p. m.
  • Our summer hours are 8:00 a. m. to 5:00 p. m. Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 a. m. to noon on Friday.
  • The ability to work additional hours during busy season is critical, but the rest of the year, flexibility is key.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
