Manager - Privacy

Responsibilities:

The Privacy - Manager will be primarily responsible for reviewing incoming privacy incident reports to determine whether they require immediate assignment and working with the Administrator to assign privacy incidents based on team workloads and availability. The Privacy Manager will be responsible for documenting privacy risk assessments. The Privacy Manager will have responsibility to periodically conduct privacy compliance audits of projects, subcontractors and vendors by reviewing policies and procedures and conducting on-site visits. The Privacy Manager will support the outreach the Privacy Official Office provides to employees through Fast Alerts, corporate newsletter articles and regular privacy meetings with Project Privacy Points of Contact. Homebased negotiable. Job Description: Assess privacy incidents reported to the Privacy Official Office Triage all reported actual and potential privacy incidents, as needed Acknowledge receipt of the privacy incident report and log the incident into the Privacy Official Office Tracking Database as needed Conduct site visits of MAXIMUS Projects, subcontractors and vendor Support and participate in regularly scheduled meetings and employee outreach and awareness Assist with revising or developing, as appropriate, policies and procedures at the project and the corporate level to maintain contractual, regulatory and statutory compliance Manage or contribute to, as appropriate, the development of corporate and project privacy training and awareness materials Assist with responding to project and management ad hoc questions and tasks related to privacy Performs other duties as may be assigned by management

The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience

  • Qualifications: Bachelor s degree required, advanced degree (J. D.) preferred Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations and application to MAXMIUS operations required Ability to read/interpret contracts and regulatory laws IAPP certification preferred; required within six months of hire Performing compliance (IT, regulatory, CMMI, QA/QC) audits experience desired Four to eight years of professional/related experience preferred Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (e. g., Word, Excel, One Note and Visio) Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously Ability to work as a team member and independently

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
